What is RAWK’s Project 802?

802 S. Westnedge is RAWK’s new home! To maximize RAWK’s ability to serve students most in need, we are relocating to a permanent home base where students can create, learn, and connect. The full realization of RAWK includes a hub for programming in an area with ample foot traffic that is walking distance to a school. This home base, a multilingual literacy center, will enable us to grow our programming to include field trip opportunities for teachers and after-school homework help for youth, all at no cost to students.

An essential element of this new home, and an exciting source of creative energy and whimsy, will be RAWK’s storefront. RAWK’s shop (name to be announced soon) with sell fun and kitschy thematic mementos, RAWK t-shirts and tote bags, books, writing supplies, and published student work.

Why invest in RAWK’s Project 802?

Strengthening literacy skills improves lives. Sharing stories builds compassion. Showing youth they are valued empowers them. In the city of The Promise and the Foundation for Excellence, it is imperative that we define and articulate the promise of excellence as offering essential development opportunities to all youth regardless of ability, socio-economic status, and heritage. Your investment in Project 802 means we have the resources to celebrate and amplify even more youth voices.

When you make a donation for Project 802 in any amount you will receive a RAWK thank you swag bag!
