RAWK’s Youth Leaders aim to amplify the voices of Kalamazoo’s youth and integrate their unique perspectives into RAWK’s programs, projects, and events to create a more fun, impactful, and deep learning environment where everyone can share their stories.
High school aged youth are encouraged to develop their skills as a leader, help develop RAWK programs, collaborate with youth to write and design books and magazines, and more. They are also eligible to apply for a mentorship position in the summer where they will receive a stipend for their participation in their own week-long camp and then also as they serve as a mentor for one of our younger summer writing camps.
