DESCRIPTION:Your favorite monthly virtual program is back…\nOh yes\, it’s Read And Write Night!\nKalamazoo County youth in grades K–5 are invited to join volunteers from the Western Michigan University chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association to spend time reading out loud then writing together to express their response to the story. \nHear a perspective that is new to you\, express your own ideas in writing\, and find power in the written word.\nAll Read and Write Nights will take place via Google Meet. \nEach participating family will receive a copy of our monthly book prior to the event\nThis month’s session is open to 16 families \n\nRegistration opens on March 8th\nClick here to register\nour April title is Nigel and the Moon\nwritten by Antwan Eady and illustrated by Gracey Zhang \nIn this stirring and uplifting picture book\, author Antwan Eady and artist Gracey Zhang tell the story of a young Black boy with big dreams of moving past his fear of judgment to share his dreams with his class during career week.
