Two chances to PUBLISH your writing!

Part of our mission at RAWK is to publish youth writing and share it with the world. We’re excited to share TWO opportunities for youth writers to see their work published:

The Quarantine Anthology Project Volume 3

The Quarantine Anthology Project began in March 2020 as we all learned to change our lives to try to keep each other safe. Our routines were interrupted and our school and work habits had to adjust and adapt – but our stories never stopped. We have published two volumes of work and we’re raring and ready to go on the third!

Submissions will be accepted from ANY youth, PreK–25 years old.

Work can be on any topic and in any form (poetry, prose, comics, scripts, stories, essays, journal entries, etc.)

Submissions are due on Monday, March 15th

Participating writers will receive a free copy of the published book!

RAWK Digital Publication for the Kalamazoo Poetry Festival

This year’s Kalamazoo Poetry Festival theme is “From the Wreckage.” They will be presenting their Virtual festivities on April 16th and 17th and RAWK is going to make sure that youth poets are featured! Submit your work for our first digital publication and your words will be shared throughout the Kalamazoo community and beyond.

Submissions will be accepted from any youth in Kalamazoo County, PreK–25 years old.

Poetry can be on any topic and in any poetic form.

Submissions are due on Monday, April 5th

All submissions should be sent to info@readandwritekzoo.org and should include the writer’s name, age, and school (if applicable)

Comics, drawings, and other visual art should be scanned at at least 300dpi. If access to scanning is an issue, please email and we will coordinate picking up art to be scanned.

We can’t wait to read and share your words!
